As outlined in the current World Bowls Strategic Plan, several key initiatives are focused on strengthening our digital capability to increase engagement, enhance development opportunities, improve communication with stakeholders, and deliver greater value to MNAs and partners.
To support these objectives, World Bowls and World Bowls Series are progressing to the next stage of development of the World Bowls Match Center https://results.mc.worldbowls.com/ which is the official results and competition platform for World Bowls and World Bowls Series sanctioned events.
As part of this enhancement, the following new features are being introduced:
- The ability for all bowlers affiliated with an MNA to create an individual World Bowls ID account
- The creation of dedicated MNA profiles to support stakeholder management, communication, and data collection
The benefits for players who register for a World Bowls ID account include:
- Direct entry into World Bowls and World Bowls Series events via the platform
- Easier access to the WB/WBS Match Center and event results
- Direct communications from World Bowls and the World Bowls Series
- Integration with the World Bowls Academy, including recognition of coaching and officiating certifications
- The option to create and manage a personal player profile
